What's in it for you?
Each month when I sit down to work on newsletter content I try to include a mix of articles that are both informative, helpful and not all about insurance. Hopefully we have met or exceeded your expectations

With that in mind I would like to invite you to email your thoughts, or questions to me at ehackett@jjruddyinsurance.com. Your feedback is important and your questions are probably on the minds of others.
Here's one from Tom Deech:
What's the benefit to consolidating my coverage with one company?
The biggest benefit is the rates. When you have auto and home with the same company, account credits are added to both the home and auto. Insurance carriers continue to favor the account business with more favorable rates.
In addition to the rates, there is the benefit of one point of contact to manage all your insurance needs. This makes it more convenient for you and gives us the ability to give advice on the "big picture".
If you have coverages scattered among different agencies and companies, now is the time to take a look at making some changes.
Thank you in advance for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to read our newsletter.

Regards,

Edward P. Hackett, CIC CRM

Protecting Your
Social Status
We all take precautions when it comes to protecting our identity. Things like social security numbers, bank account numbers, and credit card information are a given. But have you considered the information that is readily available on social media sites.
Would-be identity thieves have access to your date of birth and, believe it or not, the break-in crew that has been casing your neighborhood knows that you are excited about your upcoming trip to Aruba.
The good news is there is an easy fix by simply changing your privacy settings. All it takes is a couple of minutes to lock down your settings. Here is a link to a great article on privacy settings. Don't forget to share with your kids!
