King Hezekiah's Royal Seal Found
in Ophel Excavation   

According to a recent press release by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Institute of Archaeology the first seal impression of an Israelite or Judean King unearthed in a scientific excavation has been found. Discovered at the Ophel excavations led by archaeologist, Dr. Eilat Mazar, the royal seal (or bulla) of King Hezekiah has been identified. The bulla contains a Hebrew inscription that reads "Belonging to Hezekiah, (son of) Ahaz, king of Judah." Watch the video about this sensational discovery.
