Dear Saint Arnold's Army:
For beer lovers everywhere, fall means full-bodied, malty beers. For us, that's our Oktoberfest, a beer we've brewed since 1997. This year, we're enjoying it in cans for the first time. Of course, you can still find it in bottles and on tap around town. You might even score one of our brand new Oktoberfest pint glasses!
Of course, this time of year also means that our annual brewery tradition is just a few weeks away. And tickets are now on sale...

Oktoberfest 2015 at Saint Arnold Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Put on your best dirndl, lederhosen or other Tyrolean duds and come out to our annual Oktoberfest party in our tour hall. You could even be crowned King or Queen of Oktoberfest - we'll have a contest to see who comes outfitted the best. Chef Ryan will be preparing a special German dinner, and we'll have our regular lineup of beers on tap. You'll be able to enjoy these beers from the commemorative Oktoberfest mug you'll receive - all while being entertained with live music. Tickets are $45 each and include admission, dinner, a pretzel, beer and a commemorative mug. Get your tickets for Friday night here or Saturday night here. Space is very limited. King and Queen of Oktoberfest Contest: We will choose one best dressed man and one best dressed woman each evening using our own highly subjective criteria. The winners will receive $100 each and the envy of all of their Tyrolean serfs. |

Houston BBQ Throwdown at Saint Arnold Sunday, November 8 - 1:00 - 4:00 PM
If you haven't noticed, we're big BBQ fans here at Saint Arnold. What's that? You are too? Perfect! You're going to want to join us at the brewery in November for the inaugural Houston BBQ Throwdown, which will feature some of the best smoked meats our city has to offer. This event is a collaboration Houston Barbecue Festival - folks that are huge fans of the Houston BBQ scene as well. In that spirit, BBQ joints from around the area will be serving one dish that represents their interpretation of Houston-style barbecue. Along with a panel of judges, you will sample all of the dishes and decide on your favorite. The blind judging process will be accompanied by a People's Choice award. Participating restaurants include (subject to change): Blood Bros. BBQ, Brooks' Place BBQ, The Brisket House, Corkscrew BBQ, Feges BBQ, Pappa Charlie's Barbeque, The Pit Room, Pizzitola's Bar-B-Cue, Ray's BBQ Shack, and Roegel's BBQ, with more to come. Tickets are $55 and include beer and samples of each competition dish. Space is limited. Get your Houston BBQ Throwdown tickets here.

Saint Arnold Weekend at Alamo DrafthouseFriday, September 11 - Sunday, September 30
The great folks at Alamo Drafthouse want to reward you, as a member of the Saint Arnold Army, with a free movie. That's right, a completely free movie at the Vintage Park or Mason Park Alamo Drafthouse. This is good for any movie at any time this weekend. Just print out this flyer or show it on your phone at the box office, and you're in. And while you're there, you may as well enjoy a Saint Arnold beer with your movie. Keep in mind, you'll want to show up a bit early, as some shows will sell out. Also, no children under six will be admitted and children six and older will not be admitted without a parent or guardian.
