This Thursday is National IPA Day. We're pretty excited, and you can celebrate with us by enjoying an Elissa IPA, an Endeavour or perhaps our brand new IPA... 

 

Art Car IPA Coming Thursday

National IPA Day seems like the perfect time to release our newest beer, Art Car IPA, a very hoppy American IPA featuring a blend of both new and old hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. We love this beer.

The nose is a blend of apricot and tropical fruit and mango. The taste starts with a big bitter blood orange that morphs into mangos and sweet tropical fruits. There is a lightly sweet malt body that allows the hops to shine while there being a nice complexity to the flavors.

The Art Car IPA name was inspired by the fleet of hand painted Art Cars created by local artists for Saint Arnold. You've probably seen our salespeople driving them around town. The label artwork was designed by renowned Houston graffiti artist and our good friend, GONZO247, who has painted four Saint Arnold Art Cars. If you've been to the brewery, you've seen his murals on the inside and outside of our building.

You can enjoy Art Car IPA on tap around town beginning Thursday. In October, Art Car IPA will be released in cans.

Art Car Shows Around Town

To celebrate the release of Art Car IPA, our Art Cars will be hitting the town. They'll be driving around and making stops at bars pouring the beer. At these places, you'll be able to taste the new beer while checking out a few art cars. You might even score one of our brand new Art Car IPA pint glasses or a citrus scented Art Car IPA air freshener.

Here's where our Art Cars will be. These times represent when the cars themselves will be pulling up. You're welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy the beer.

Thursday, August 6:

Pub Night & Garage Sale at Saint Arnold This Friday
 
Of course, another great place to find Art Car IPA on tap is at the brewery during this Friday's Pub Night. As always with Pub Nights, we'll open our tour hall from 5:00 - 10:00 PM strictly as a bar and let you choose what you want to purchase. There's no entry fee for the evening, so you can just choose beers by the individual glass or bottle.

In addition to the debut of Art Car IPA, we'll have cask conditioned Endeavour and a bourbon barrel aged version of Divine Reserve No. 13, our Belgian Quad. A special Pub Night food menu will be available from our kitchen.

Also during Pub Night, we'll be having another Saint Arnold Garage Sale. This is your chance to get some select glassware and clothing at super discounted prices. You could even knock out your Christmas shopping and kick back for the rest of the year. That would be so responsible of you.

 

Are you maintenance-oriented and want to work at Saint Arnold?

 

We have an opening for our building maintenance position. If you enjoy being around beer all day and like to make sure that the lights are on (so we can see our beer), the air conditioning is running (so we don't sweat while having a beer), the elevators are functioning (the taps are on the second floor) and the fire alarm is working (so we don't make a smoked beer), then this may be the position for you.

Enjoy Houston Restaurant Weeks at Alamo Drafthouse
 
From now through September 7, both locations of Alamo Drafthouse will be offering a special Houston Restaurant Weeks ticket package. Each $35 package includes your movie ticket for the evening, a three course meal featuring exclusive new menu items and an additional movie ticket that can be used on a return visit. Plus, they will donate $5 from every ticket package sold to the Houston Food Bank. This donation will provide 15 meals to those in need.

They've also teamed up with us to provide beer pairing suggestions to accompany your Houston Restaurant Weeks meal. These suggestions will be found on the back of the menu you'll receive when you arrive at the theater. We tend to think beer pairs great with movie watching.
