Our 8th Annual One Pot Showdown™
Sunday, January 25 - 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Over the past seven years, the Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown has become our largest and most popular annual event. On Sunday, January 25, we'll have 80 cooking teams ready to serve you their tastiest dish made with Saint Arnold beer. It's one part chili cookoff, one part stew stampede, one part gumbo gauntlet and ten parts Saint Arnold goodness. 
A group of judges will sample all the dishes and award one team the coveted One Pot Trophy. You get to taste all of the dishes (or as many as you can!) and see if you agree with the judges. Check out last year's winners and their recipes.
Proceeds from this event go to Kid's Meals, an organization that provides healthy lunches to pre-school aged kids living in poverty. It's like Meals on Wheels, but for kids.
Tickets are $40 per person, and you may purchase up to four tickets per email address. One Pot Showdown always sells out very quickly.

Enter Our Annual Donegal Beard Growing Competition
Do you want to win a brand new iPad? Have you been searching high and low for an excuse to grow a beard for two and a half months? Search no further. Enter our Donegal Beard Growing Competition, and your wildest beard dreams may just come true.
Here's how to compete. Check in with us - clean-shaven - during a public tour starting this Friday, January 2 through Thursday, January 8. We will take your official "before" photo. Alternatively, you can send us a photo of yourself on or after January 1 (through the 8th) with that day's newspaper (kidnapper style). If you aren't sure what a newspaper is, pull up the Houston Chronicle website on your laptop and take a photo with that. Email photos to jeremy_johnson@saintarnold.com.
We will crown the winner at our annual St. Patrick's Day Party on Tuesday, March 17. The Donegal Beard Growing Champion will be awarded an iPad. As a special bonus, the winner will also get six months of free beard grooming (or equivalent service) and a beard maintenance gift basket from our friends at The Argyle League Barbershop.
Clean-shaven means no facial hair. Sideburns must be cut at least halfway up the ear. Previous winners are ineligible to win for two years. We will be seeking qualified, independent judges for the finale.

Pub Night at Saint Arnold
Friday, January 9 - 5:00 - 10:00 PM
Get your year started off right at our monthly Pub Night on Friday, January 9. As always, we'll have special rare beers on tap and delicious food available from our kitchen.
We will be tapping a keg of our Bière de Saison - a previous Icon release - that was aged in the same barrels we used for Bishop's Barrel No. 2 Brett. We've only tapped this special release once before, at our 20th Anniversary Rare Cellar Tasting, and it was quite delicious indeed.
Also available will be a cask conditioned version of our current Icon, Sorachi Ace Dubbel, and bottles of Bishop's Barrel No. 3, a Russian Imperial Stout aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels.
On Pub Nights, we open our tour hall from 5:00 - 10:00 strictly as a bar and let you choose what you want to purchase. There's no entry fee for the evening, so you can just choose beers by the individual glass or bottle. Pub Nights are strictly 21 and up.

Valentines for Veterans at Saint Arnold
Monday, January 19 - 6:00 - 9:00 PM
We've been teaming up with Valentines for Veterans for a few years now to host an evening of beer and crafts at the brewery for a great cause. The event raises funds for two incredible organizations: Team Red, White, & Blue and Expedition Balance. Both of these groups provide support and community for Houston-area veterans as they make the difficult transition to civilian life.
Here's how the evening works:
- $10 gets you entry into the brewery. $5 from each ticket will go directly to our partner organizations. Taps are open for the evening.
- Craft tables will be set up so that you can get creative and make Valentines to honor our veterans.
- Browse the bake sale featuring sweet and savory items from some of Houston's best pastry chefs and home bakers. Enjoy with your beer or take home for later! All proceeds will be donated. There will also be a raffle featuring great food-related prizes and experiences.
- Two of Houston's best food trucks, Blood Brothers BBQ and Taco Nuts, will be outside in the parking lot ready to feed you! They are generously donating 5% of their proceeds as well.

Register Now for Santo De Mayo 5K
Register now through December 31 for our Santo De Mayo 5K, and you'll get in on the fun for just $35. Starting January 1, registration will be $40. The run will start at the brewery at 8:30 AM on Sunday, May 3, snake through Downtown and wind up back here - where we'll be conveniently waiting for you with beers.
Your entry includes a commemorative Santo De Mayo 5K pint glass, a commemorative dry fit style shirt, three tasty beers, chip timing, and a commemorative race bib. If you're not into running, you can still join us - $20 will get you a Beer & Party Pass.
