Dear Saint Arnold's Army:
We hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving as much as we all enjoyed ours. As you start to make plans for the rest of the holiday season, keep in mind that we'll be open for our normal lunch and tour hours with the exception of Christmas Day and New Years Day. The brewery will be closed those two days.
On certain days closer to Christmas, we'll be offering our Lunch Special only and giving you the chance to make lunch reservations to ensure your spot. We've already posted the menus and reservation links so you can make your plans early. If you have a large group for lunch (eight or more people), we can reserve you a table. Email josh_nelson@saintarnold.com for details on that.

Icon Red - Sorachi Ace Dubbel is Now Available
The newest beer in our Icon series is now available and it is Sorachi Ace Dubbel. No, we did not brew this beer with hot sauce.
Sorachi Ace Dubbel is led by a complex Belgian yeast character. Pils serves as the base malt, and Munich, Honey, Chocolate and Caramunich malts all contribute to a strong malt backbone. Our brewer Eddie calls it a "malty melody." We finished and dry hopped with an untraditional Japanese hop, Sorachi Ace, which contributes a lemongrass note for a focused finish.
Sorachi Ace Dubbel comes in at just under 8% ABV. Look for this Icon release in red four packs at your favorite store and on tap around town.

Pub Night at Saint Arnold This Friday
Pub Night returns to our tour hall this Friday, December 5 from 5:00 - 10:00 PM. As always, we'll be bringing up some rare special beers from our cellar and serving some delicious fare from our kitchen.
On tap we'll have Tequila Barrel Divine Reserve No. 14 and for the first time, Cask Conditioned Bishop's Barrel No. 7 with Coffee. Bottles of BB4, our Bourbon Barrel Weizenbock with Cocoa Nibs, will also be available.
During our monthly Pub Nights, we open our tour hall strictly as a bar and let you choose what you want to purchase. There's no entry fee for the evening, so you can just choose beers by the individual glass or bottle. Pub Nights are strictly 21 and up.

Dickens on the Strand, Galveston
Friday, December 5 - Sunday, December 7
We are excited to be a part of an Island tradition this weekend during the 41st Annual Dickens on The Strand. Saint Arnold beers will be available all over the festival grounds so enjoy them while taking in the festivities featuring parades, entertainment on six stages, strolling carolers, musicians, bagpipers, jugglers and a host of other entertainers and special events.

8th Annual Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown™
Call for Cooking Teams
Think you have a cooking team that can combine Saint Arnold beer and all your secret ingredients to make something better than anybody else? Now is your chance. Put together a cooking team for our 8th Annual Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown™ at the brewery on Sunday, January 25, 2014. This is a call for cooking teams only.
See our One Pot Showdown™ page for all the event details, and sign your team up via this link. Team slots will fill up quickly. Probably today.
The team fee is $100, and there are no refunds on the team fee. Please only signup if you know for sure your team can participate. If you register a team, please make sure you complete the signup and payment portion. If you do not complete the payment, your registration will not be completed and you will not be registered.
When you signup a team, there is an option for advance purchase of up to four tickets for your friends and family to attend the event. You do not need tickets for you and your teammates to get in - that is covered in the team fee. If you want others to attend the event starting at 1:00, they will however need a ticket. This is the only time we will offer early tickets for the teams, so please go ahead and purchase them now.
Ticket sales for the general public will be announced at a later date.

Saint Arnold Weekend at Alamo Drafthouse
Friday, December 12 - Sunday, December 14
The great folks at Alamo Drafthouse want to reward you, as a member of the Saint Arnold Army, with a free movie. That's right, a completely free movie at the Vintage Park or Mason Park Alamo Drafthouse. This is good for any movie at any time the weekend of Friday, December 12 through Sunday, December 14.
Just print out this flyer or show it on your phone at the box office, and you're in. And while you're there, you may as well enjoy a Saint Arnold beer with your movie. Keep in mind, you'll want to show up a bit early, as some shows will sell out. Also, no children under six will be admitted and children six and older will not be admitted without a parent or guardian.
Also at Alamo Drafthouse (Vintage Park) our owner/founder Brock will be hosting an Animal House Toga Party on Thursday, December 18 at 8:00 PM. Proceeds for this evening's ticket sales will be donated to BARC, along with the proceeds from a special holiday menu during the entire week.

Annual Tapping of the Last Cask of Christmas Ale at The Stag's Head

This party began way back when we only made about four casks of Christmas Ale. Before that, Christmas Ale casks were made only for our employee Christmas Party.
The Stag's Head event has turned into an annual tradition of a Christmas party with many of the brewing and homebrewing community showing up to enjoy the last cask of Christmas Ale, tasty hors d'oeuvres and the fellowship that surrounds all that we do.
