Amber Ale Dryhopped with Cascade Now Available
 To celebrate brewing our Amber Ale for 20 years, we are releasing three small Amber Ale batches, each dryhopped with a different hop variety (regular Amber Ale is not dryhopped). Last month, we released the first beer of the series, which was dryhopped with Liberty.
The second release - done with Cascade hops - takes us back to our roots. In our earlier days, we wanted to revive the old tradition of cask conditioned ales, and our casks of Amber Ale were dryhopped with Cascade. At the time, this was one of the only cask ales you could find in Texas.
Cascade is the bittering hop in every batch of Amber Ale, but is known for being a versatile hop. It originated in the Pacific Northwest and has very deep roots in American craft brewing. When used as a dry hop, it contributes a spicy citrus aroma more commonly associated with American Pale Ales. This aroma strikes a pleasant balance with the caramel maltiness and light fruity flavors Amber Ale is known for.
You can find Amber Ale Dryhopped with Cascade in our 22 oz bomber bottles, as well as limited casks around town.
Want to try it on cask? Guru Burgers & Crepes in Sugar Land will be tapping it on Friday, August 29 at 6:30 PM.

Galveston Pub Crawl This Saturday, August 23
This Saturday, we'll be hosting our annual Galveston Pub Crawl down on the island, and you are invited. We will start off from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Fisherman's Wharf where we will be handing out the Pub Crawl tickets. Here you can enjoy an Elissa (the beer) while overlooking Elissa (the ship).
The next five stops will be our open house method where you visit each stop in any order from 3:00 to 6:00. Then at 6:00, we will gather at Saengerfest Park next to Yaga's. At the park, we'll award those who have made all of the stops with a special Pub Crawl pint glass.

Girls Pint Out at Saint Arnold
Tuesday, August 26 - 6:00 - 8:00 PM
It's a ladies only evening at the brewery with beer, a commemorative pint glass and a brewery tour. A good cause makes every event better - Girls Pint Out benefits Harley's Angels, a group of women motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, research and education.

Untapped Fest at Discovery Green
Saturday, September 20
Untapped Indie Music & Beer Festival returns this year with a great lineup of (you guessed it) indie music and beer. On the music front, we are proud to sponsor the stage that will feature Toadies, Bad Books, Robert Ellis and other great acts.
On the beer front, we're reaching deep into our special stash. Throughout the day, we'll be opening a limited amount of all seven of our Bishop's Barrel releases. We'll start with BB1 at 2:30, then move chronologically on the hour, every hour. We'll also have our DR14 aged in tequila barrels on tap.

Cheese and Beer Pairing with Houston Dairymaids

The Houston Dairymaids will be back at the brewery pairing their cheeses with our beers. They'll talk with you about the different styles of cheeses, and we'll all enjoy the pairings together. You can even experiment with your own pairings if you like!

The Brew Mile at Houston Sports Park

We love running, we love beer. We love beer and running events. In fact, one of the first kegs we ever donated years ago was to the iconic Houston Hash House Harries, the drinking club with a running problem. So it just made sense for us to get involved with the good folks from The Brew Mile. This will be a super fun event where you can expect a party, live music, food trucks, costumes and great Saint Arnold beer.
If you register before Thursday, September 11, you can get in for just $55! This Saturday, Growlers in Montrose is holding a registration event from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, where you can signup and get some samples.
