Saint Arnold Army Newsletter

Dear Saint Arnold's Army:

Our First Ever Pub Crawl in College Station
is This Saturday,
March 1

This Saturday, we'll be hosting our first ever Pub Crawl in the great town of College Station. (We'll also be crawling in Austin!)

We'll utilize our usual open house schedule for the first seven stops - this means you can visit them in any order. You'll get your ticket at whichever stop you decide to visit first, and from there you'll visit the rest of the stops. We will be handing the tickets out between 2:00 and 3:00 only, so make sure you get out there by 3:00.

At 6:00, everybody will gather at the final stop, and that's where we will award the prizes. The prize for completing the crawl is a handsome Saint Arnold Pub Crawl pint glass. We will have a large but limited supply. Designated drivers are always eligible for the award and encouraged to attend! Here's the layout:

Hit these spots between 2:00 and 6:00:
  • O' Bannon's Taphouse
  • Rebel Draft House
  • Duddley's Draw
  • Logie's
  • The Corner
  • Daisy Dukes
  • The Backyard
At 6:00, head to the final stop:
  • Blackwater Draw

Our Annual St. Patrick's Day Party at the Brewery
Monday, March 17 - 6:00 - 9:00 PM

On Monday, March 17, we'll be holding our annual Saint Arnold Meets St. Patrick Party. The big event for the evening is our Donegal Beard Growing Competition. Dozens of brave contestants have been growing out their facial hair since the beginning of the year, and one of them will take home an iPad. Along with the iPad, they will get the glory of being a beard growing champion.

For the evening, we'll be tapping a keg of Bishop's Barrel No. 5, our Bourbon Barrel Wee Heavy Scotch Ale that we originally released in October. The base beer of BB5 was Divine Reserve No. 4, which won the gold medal at the 2008 World Beer Cup in the Strong Scotch Ale category. If you didn't get a chance to try BB5 during it's initial release, consider this a St. Patrick's Day present. We'll also have some food available for purchase. All in all, it's a lot more fun than drinking green beer.

Admission is $28 per person and includes beer (including one 12 oz pour of BB5) and a commemorative pint glass. Attendance is limited, and this event sells out quickly every year.

Get your tickets here.

Pub Night Returns to the Brewery
Friday, March 7 - 5:00 - 10:00 PM

For this Pub Night, we'll be pulling out a big gun. For the first time at the brewery, you'll be able to purchase bottles of BB6, the latest release in our Bishop's Barrel series. Bishop's Barrel No. 6 is Pumpkinator aged in Appleton Estate 21-30 Year Rum Barrels. If you're a fan of Pumpkinator, you'll definitely love BB6. Learn more about BB6.

On Pub Nights, we open our tour hall from 5:00 - 10:00 PM strictly as a bar and let you choose what you want to purchase. There's no entry fee for the evening, so you can just choose beers by the individual glass or bottle. We'll also have food available at each Pub night. You've given us great feedback on them so far, so we'll be keeping them up on a monthly basis. Pub Nights are strictly 21 and up.

Our Dallas sales rep Tyler has done an awesome job for us in North Texas, but you know what they say - all good things must move to Sweden. We're sad to lose him and a little jealous too.

This means we're looking for a new Dallas Area Sales & Marketing Rep. If you're passionate about Saint Arnold beer and think you'd be a good fit, see the full job description on our Careers page.
