Galveston Pub Crawl Next Saturday, August 24
Next Saturday, we'll be hosting our annual Galveston Pub Crawl down on the island. And you are invited. We will start off from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Fisherman's Wharf where we will be handing out the pub crawl tickets. Here you can enjoy an Elissa (the beer) while overlooking ELISSA (the ship).
The next four stops will be our open house method where you visit each of four stops in any order from 3:00 to 6:00. Then at 6:00, we will gather at Saengerfest Park next to Yaga's and Tsunami Bar. At the park, we'll award all who have made all of the stops with a pub crawl pint glass. Key things to remember:
- Bring cash (this helps with transactions).
- Designated drivers are welcome and encouraged.
- Treat your waitstaff well.
- Bring your friends!
- Meet new friends!
Here is the schedule. If you get hungry along the way, Little Daddy's Gumbo Bar is a great place to refuel.
2:00 PM:

3:00 to 6:00 PM:
- O'Malley's Stage Door Pub

Icon Gold Bière de Saison Now Available
Icon Gold, the latest in our Icon series of beers, is also the biggest beer we've brewed in this series. It started its life as a bière de Noël. Then it was decided to change the yeast to saison yeast. In the end, we have something closer to a very complex dubbel than a saison. And coming in at 9.0% ABV, this beer is a mouthful. Here is what brewer Aaron Inkrott has to say about his recipe:
"The inspiration for this beer comes from the traditional French and Belgian farmhouse style ales; Bière de Noël and Saison. The malts used were focused on creating a complex malt backbone, with subtle floral characteristics from the Hersbrucker hops. The yeast is an aromatic Belgian Saison strain that produces complex esters balanced with earthy/spicy notes. The beer finishes slightly tart and dry with a peppery finish." Icon Gold will be showing up on tap and on store shelves as Icon Green runs out. And for fans of Icon Green, the final cask is being served this week at the Great British Beer Festival. Just in case you are in London. Learn more about Icon Gold here. |

Brewing Up a Cure at Saint Arnold
Wednesday, September 4 - 6:00 - 8:00 PM
On Wednesday, September 4, we're teaming up with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America for a fun evening at the brewery. Join us for food, beer and live music from 80 Proof - an 80s cover band. Heck, you can even wear that 80s attire you've been dying to bring back.
The best part if all this fun is that it will benefit CCFA, whose mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Admission is $25, which includes food, beer and a special commemorative pint glass.
Get your tickets via this link.

A Very Saint Arnold Wedding at the Great American Beer Festival

Is love not the only thing that brought you together? Would you describe beer as the third member of your relationship? Have you always dreamed of having the wedding toast be a part of the actual ceremony? Well, then have we got the wedding ceremony for you!
If you and your significant other are planning to attend the 2013 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado this year, we are giving you the opportunity to get married by Saint Arnold himself! We'll even have our own wedding "chapel" right there at our booth inside our booth at the convention center. If you want this to be a legal ceremony, all you have to do is follow this link to get the procedures for marriages in the state of Colorado, and then bring your marriage license to use our space in booth number 134 during any of the sessions on October 10, 11 or 12. There is usually very little wait to get a license in Denver. Residents from places other than Colorado still have to obtain a CO marriage license. Time permitting, Saint Arnold is also happy to perform civil ceremonies or vow renewals.
If you are interested in having Saint Arnold perform your wedding ceremony at GABF, please email Lennie Ambrose at lennie@saintarnold.com for more information and questions.
