Dear JHYS Families,

There are many people who help to make the Fall Classic happen. Thank you all. I would specifically like to thank the following for really getting their hands dirty and who help me to deal with the stress of running the event:

Deb Wuersch thank you for helping us find all the volunteers for the event. You have helped the club in one capacity or another for many years. I can't thank you enough.

Dan Norton thank you for scheduling all the referees. Around 60 referees and 190 games in two days. Great job.

Tom Bresnehan thank you for scoring the tournament. Your keen eye and attention to detail ensures the scoring of the tournament is running smoothly.

Dan Bierman from Parks and Rec. Thank you for all your help making sure the fields where lined and ready to go. This year we had to deal with rain and snow. Thank you for being positive and being a great person to work with.

Max Prevost, my go to guy for getting random stuff done. You nailed it.

The JHYS Board of Directors for their help. Extra special thanks to Tammie for going the extra mile at 6:30 in the morning and Brendan for congratulating all of our finalists.

Ivar, you do a lot and I can't thank you enough. All I can say is that I am fortunate to have you on my team.

Finally, my beautiful and loving wife. Without your support the tournament would probably be an absolute mess. I love you.

Record number of teams for the 2013 Fall Classic!

2013 Fall Classic

The 2013 Fall Classic had a record number of teams participate this year. 117 teams including 12 from JHYS took part in this event. The teams came from Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. As in the past the majority of teams came from Idaho, Montana and Wyoming although this year Utah more than doubled their number of teams participating over last year.

We couldn't have done it without all your help. Thank you to all the supporters and volunteers who made this event possible. We received lots of positive comments from attendees and we wouldn't have been able to get that feedback without your hard work and commitment.
Gem State Challenge Tournament Results

Last weekend, the U10 girls, U11 girls, U14 girls, U11 boys and U13 boys attended the Gem State Challenge in Boise. All teams had a great experience and have continued to improve as they have all season. The U14 girls and U11 boys took silver in their brackets.

Some teams will attend their last tournament of the year in Boise during the first week in November. The U13 Boys will attend a tournament in Las Vegas during Thanksgiving weekend.
JHYS will be the Fine Dining Group Non-Profit of the week from 11/4-11/10
