President's Letter

Great interior designers don't just dazzle, they inspire.  As we enter a new year of exciting possibilities, we dedicate this issue to celebrating great design and our inspiring ASID members.

We had a stellar chapter weekend last month at The Taste of the Finger Lakes in Ithaca that left us all energized with exciting conversations.  We feature our design award competition winners below.

Our board members both new and old are also an inspiration.  As we all struggle with manic schedules, we applaud all of those that devote precious time and share responsibilities to run your ASID chapter.  We especially wish to recognize Cathy Emilian our past president (as of October 1st) who led us with great enthusiasm.

Speaking of inspired, what brought me to be your new chapter ASID president?  I caught the ASID bug as a student and I have never looked back.  ASID offers so many benefits. Personal growth, networking, valuable education, a true indication of what is happening in the industry and the list goes on. As your Chapter President, I want to bring that value closer to your doorstep!  How are we going to do that?  Check out the video link here which unveils our exciting strategic plan for this year.

Here's to fantastic design and this year's goals... to infinity and beyond.

I'm always here to chat:

Most Sincerely,

Corinn Soro
