DownStairs Art Studio & Gallery 

 

DownStairs Art is looking for students! Pottery lessons for individuals or small groups start at $25/hour for adults and $18.75/hour for students. All skill levels welcome! Open studio time is available for advanced students at hourly, weekly or monthly rates. Fusing Workshops held every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. $30 per person all inclusive. 

 

A great way to spend time with your family and friends; groups are welcomed - please contact GlassWerx at 352-586-8546 for details and to reserve your space. (Participants must wear closed toe shoes and sign a standard release and waiver of liability form. Minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by parent or guardian).

We are offering classes in stained-glass all inclusive from $35, fusing classes from $25, & mosaics classes. Some are "make it, take it" one session classes while others are 4-week courses. Also offer refresher courses, workshops, and private classes. A popular class is "Fusing Friday," no experience or appointment needed from 6 to 8 on Friday evening. We can also accomodate groups for parties, fundraising projects, ladies night out with wine & cheese and more.....For more information, call (352) 586-8546.

Photographic Vision

March 15 - May 24

 

Join fine art photographer Rebecca Pujals-Jones for inspiring photographic journeys in the beautiful Nature Coast. This three month class focuses on discovering new ways of seeing. You will learn methods to refine your creative voice through photo excursions, group discussions, assignments, demonstrations and creative exercises. Grow your photography to the next level by advancing your technique, intuition and personal philosophy. Participants will be guided to convey their unique vision by connecting with images created in meaningful ways. By refining their vision, whether through the genre of nature, still life, documentary or portraiture, participants will engage in creating dynamic images with their own narratives.

 

 

Topics Include:

~  Seeing light, form and color

~  Elements of composition

~  Portfolio reviews

~  Connecting your technical ability with your creative vision

~  Basics of shooting, editing and managing images

~  Looking and listening

 

 

Price: $250               Early registration: $230  (by March 1st)

Instructor:

Rebecca Pujals-Jones is a fine art photographer based in Hernando, specializing in landscapes and portraiture with extensive experience in both the traditional and digital darkroom. Her visual tool kit includes large format wooden view cameras, plastic toy cameras to digital SLRs and knowledge of historic 1800's processes. Rebecca holds an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Her website can be seen at www.pujalsjones.com

MONDAYS COOKING CLASSES

We are now offering an interactive cooking class on Mondays! You are invited to join Chef Randy as he will be going over different dishes, cooking methods, garnishes and specialties. Each class will be about an hour & half. Classes start at 6:30PM and run $35 per person. There are a minimum number of people required for each class, so please R.S.V.P. by either calling us at 352-564-0902 or by email. We look forward to seeing you!!
