Music Generation has been busy working with the Department of Education and Skills on a performance programme for a series of international conferences to mark the EU Presidency.  Young Musical Ambassadors nominated by the Music Education Partnerships around the country have been taking centre stage at these high-profile events. To date the featured artists have included The Carabells and Bofield C�il� Band from Mayo, Sligo's Elsa Kelly and Teaspach, and Donegal's Ceolt�ir� Chloich Cheannfhaola and jazz duo Michael and Conor Murray.  With three events over the next fortnight there has been high demand for traditional players and our next event will feature young Mayo harpist, Alannah Thornbugh with The Bonny Men from Dublin.  Further events will feature another Mayo harpist Niamh McGloin, Dundalk Comhaltas and harpist Michael O'Neill from Louth.  Follow these events on our facebook page.
