Music Generation & Department of Education and Skills Present Young Ambassadors Performance Programme for EU Presidency
Music Generation is currently working with the International Section of the Department of Education and Skills on an ambitious performance programme that will feature some of Ireland's finest young musical ambassadors over the coming months. The inaugural event held at Dublin Castle during December featured Co. Mayo's The Carabells and Bofiled Céilí band. The next performances are scheduled to take place on January 30th and will feature young musicians from Sligo. Read more here. |

8. Arts in Education Charter Launched by Ministers Deenihan & Quinn
Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan TD, and Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn TD recently jointly launched an Arts in Education Charter. This Charter places new responsibilities on Government Departments, agencies, cultural institutions and arts organisations in terms of providing and promoting arts education to children and young people.
