Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; |

And so the season of waiting and longing is over. Jesus is born. Joy to the world! On this first Sunday of Christmas, we sing along with the psalmist:
Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his host!
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, take a look at that beautiful Psalm (148) and also reflect on the passage from 1 Samuel. You can find both Scriptures, plus all of the appointed passages for this coming Sunday, in the column on the right.
Think on these things: Are there some similarities between the Psalm text and that which the angels announced to the shepherds? And what about the story of little Samuel and that of Jesus?
