Last Sunday, the first of Advent, we talked a bit about how the season has two faces: Advent both looks back, at the first coming of Christ, and forward, toward His second. We also talked about how the season has a way of bending time.
This coming Sunday, the second in Advent, we will light the candle of love-- and ponder how love bends time.
Here's an exercise for you: Take a look at the Scriptures for Sunday morning (especially the Malachi passage) and think about "time" and the two faces of Advent. How does the passage cause us to look back? Forward? Is time bent?
