April has been designated as National Autism Awareness Month
Autism is one of the fastest growing developmental disabilities and is impacting the population of our schools. This disability reportedly affects 1 in 80 births and 1 in 54 boys.

Several famous people who may have had autism include: Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, Beethoven, Van Gogh, Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Edison.

Earth Day is being celebrated on April 22. It inspires environmental learning and stewardship among students.
