Head Search Finalist Visits DCD
The third finalist for the Head of School position will be visiting DCD on Monday and Tuesday next week. A session for parents to meet with the candidate will take place in the Valentine Center on Tuesday, September 22, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. A short bio and feedback survey link will be posted on the DCD website a day before each candidate's visit.
Web Tech Support for Parents
Need some help logging in and navigating the DCD website? We will be offering a series of technology help drop-in sessions starting the third week of September. Bring your device to the Adams Lab or use one of ours and we will give you some tips! In the meantime, if you encounter any issues, please send an email to DCDwebhelp@dcds.net.

School Photos
Tuesday, September 22, is school picture day at DCD. Bring your smile, and make sure your child has turned in the order form to the homeroom teacher by Monday, September 21. Children must provide either the order form or the online order confirmation sheet. If you have questions, please contact Barbara Laneau.
After-school Programs Starting Up

PA Volunteer Sign Up
The PA Executive Committee invites all parents to get involved in school activities. Family Registration Forms
If you haven't already done so, please fill out your family registration form and return it as soon as possible to Danise Cavallaro in the Development Office. Returning families do not have to return the form if nothing has changed since last year, but we would appreciate knowing if that is the case.

Massachusetts Children's Book Award
 Once again, we will be promoting the nominees for the Massachusetts Children's Book Awards (MACBA) during the 2015-2016 school year at DCD. Even though I've written about this program before, I would like to explain it to parents who have never had a fourth, fifth, or sixth grader before now. This voluntary reading incentive program has become a popular event for many students, and it was started by Dr. Helen Constant in 1975.
