Romanized-spelling Japanese name list of Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

On April 17, Kumamoto Prefectural Police Headquarters leased 41 names of the Kumamoto Earthquake Victims, and announced a body found at a burned apartment in Yatsushiro-city was still unidentified. The total casualty as of April 17 reaches to 42.

Using the Japanese text distributed by Japan's national broadcaster NHK, Cultural News converted Japanese Kanji characters into Romanized-spelling. Despite accuracies are not guaranteed, Cultural News decided to release the first casualty name list to outside of Japan.

Unlike Chinese character pronunciation system in China and Korea, Japanese people have used Chinese characters with multiple pronunciations. In this list, Cultural News converts the characters with most standard pronunciation.
