Self-defense class starts on April 3

We are very happy to announce that Ted Uekuma, Shorinji Kempo South Bay Branch Master is offering a Self-defense class series for healthy body and mind by martial art of Shorinji Kempo method from Sunday, April 3rd for 5 Sundays.
 
One session is two-hours long from 4 pm to 6 pm.
 
Uekuma Sensei is one of the Zazenkai members who sits zazen every Saturday. He is also a board member of Zenshuji.
 
The class is for everyone (men, women, boys and girls) who is older than 13 years. You are all invited to participate in this class.
 
The fee is $40 for temple member, $60 for non member.

Shige Higashi, Editor and Publisher of Cultural News would like to ask the community of Japanese culture in Southern California areas to secure $30,000 fund for 2015-2017 campaign of "Come to Japanese Art and Cultural Places."                            
 
The standard budget of the Cultural News operation in past five years is $35,000 annually. The standard annual revenue consists of donations for $10,000, subscriptions for $15,000, and advertisement supports for $10,000.
