What: A candlelight vigil to honor all the lives lost and forever affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake & Tsunami of March 11, 2011.
 
When: Thursday, March 10, 2016.
 
Time: Assemble from 9:15 pm on. The candlelight vigil will take place at 9:46 pm to coincide with Japan time of 2:46 pm of Friday, March 11, the exact time of the natural disaster in 2011. Conclude by 10 pm.
 
Where: On Santa Monica Beach, north side of the Santa Monica Pier. Near Bubba Gump's and Lifeguard Station 1550.
 
Parking: Lot 1 North. 1550 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica

Cultural News' Mission: to introduce the best of Japanese art exhibitions and cultural events to the public in Los Angeles

The standard budget of the Cultural News operation in past five years is $35,000 annually. The standard annual revenue consists of subscriptions for $15,000, advertisements for $10,000, and donations for $10,000.
 
In order to ensure publishing the monthly paper in 2015-2017, Cultural News seeks the donation of $30,000 by March 31, 2016.
 
As of March 7, Cultural News has received $24,950 donation from supporters of Cultural News since January 2015. These supports enable Cultural News to continue publishing in coming years.
