Former US Secretary of Transportation Mr. Norman Mineta spoke at "Love to Japan 2016" - a memorial event of Japan's 2011 disaster in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Live to Nippon 2016 was held at Los Angeles Police Department Headquarters' auditorium in Downtown Los Angeles. Love to Nippon Project was designed to honor the people deceased by Japan's 2011 disaster, and to promote natural disaster training between the first responders to Tohoku from Southern California and disaster affected regions of Tohoku, Japan. "Come to Japanese Art and Cultural Places" Campaign 2015 -2017 Cultural News' Mission: to introduce the best of Japanese art exhibitions and cultural events to the public in Los Angeles The standard budget of the Cultural News operation in past five years is $35,000 annually. The standard annual revenue consists of subscriptions for $15,000, advertisements for $10,000, and donations for $10,000.
In order to ensure publishing the monthly paper in 2015-2017, Cultural News seeks the donation of $30,000 by March 31, 2016. As of March 7, Cultural News has received $24,950 donation from supporters of Cultural News since January 2015. These supports enable Cultural News to continue publishing in coming years.
