The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center's Aratani World Series presents "Kenny Ebdo Contemporary Ensemble 40th Anniversary Tour" at Aratani Theatre on Saturday, March 5, at 7:00PM. Reserved seat tickets are $25 and $35. Aratani Theatre is loacated at 244 South San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 (Little Tokyo). Kenny Endo brings to the Aratani audience the mind expanding rhythms and melodies culminating 40 years of study, practice, creativity and teaching. His uncompromising love of Japanese taiko provide the foundation for a musical vision that combines Japanese and Western sounds and rhythms. Internationally respected for his love of collection this milestone tour brings a vast array of traditional Japanese drums with the sounds of vibes, drum set, ukulele, classical Japanese flute, and koto. Kenny has invited master artists from Japan and the US for this milestone event. Kenny Endo is joined on stage by Kaoru Watanabe - Fue and taiko, Abe Lagrimas Jr - vibraphone, ukulele, drums, Shoko Hikage - Koto and Derek Nakamoto - keyboards.
"Come to Japanese Art and Cultural Places" Campaign 2015 -2017 Cultural News' Mission: to introduce the best of Japanese art exhibitions and cultural events to the public in Los Angeles The standard budget of the Cultural News operation in past five years is $35,000 annually. The standard annual revenue consists of subscriptions for $15,000, advertisements for $10,000, and donations for $10,000.
In order to ensure publishing the monthly paper in 2015-2017, Cultural News seeks the donation of $30,000 by March 31, 2016. As of Feb. 16, Cultural News has received $24,475 donation from supporters of Cultural News since January 2015. These supports enable Cultural News to continue publishing in coming years.
