Sogetsu Ikebana instructor's 25th anniversary exhibition, March 5, 6


Marking her 25th anniversary of teaching Ikebana, Sogetsu Ikebana instructor Haruko Takeichi will present Ikebana exhibition "Light & Shadow - Haruko Takeichi and her Students" on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm at Doizaki Gallery, the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 South San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
 
Admission free.
 
Ikebana will be displayed by Ms. Takeichi and her students.
 
A special program of the Ikebana demonstration and koto recital for a doll festival will be held on Sunday, March 6 at 1:00 pm.

The standard budget of the Cultural News operation in past five years is $35,000 annually. The standard annual revenue consists of subscriptions for $15,000, advertisements for $10,000, and donations for $10,000.
 
In order to ensure publishing the monthly paper in 2015-2017, Cultural News seeks the donation of $30,000 by March 31, 2016.
 
As of Feb. 16, Cultural News has received $24,475 donation from supporters of Cultural News since January 2015. These supports enable Cultural News to continue publishing in coming years.
