Celebration of the 40th anniversary of Japanese Studies Center at California State University, Los Angeles
 
Cal State LA's the Japanese Studies Center, the Department of Modern Language and Literatures, the College of Arts and Letters, and the Japan Foundation present the following events for free and open to the public:
 
 
Monday, Nov. 9 at Music Hall
4:45 pm - 5:45 pm: Koto and Shakuhachi performances by Saeko Kujiraoka and Shozan Schulz
 
Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Room KH-D 136
3:00 pm - 4:15 pm: Ikebana demonstration and workshop by Miyako Arao with Marilyn Drageset
 
Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Music Hall
6:00 pm - 7:50 pm: Rakugo performance in English and Japanese by Iseya Daifuku
 
Thursday, Nov. 12 at Music Hall
6:10 pm - 8:00 pm: Kabuki lecture / performance / workshop by Gankyo Naakamura and Yasoyo Kineya
