Pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii to perform Chopin and Liszt at Aratani Theatre, Oct. 20 at 8:00PM

Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii will perform in recital in the Aratani Theatre at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, 244 S
outh San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 8:00 p.m.
 
Blind since birth, the 25-year-old Tsuji rose to immediate prominence as the joint Gold Medal winner at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
 
Van Cliburn himself told The Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Tsujii was "absolutely miraculous - his performance had the power of a healing service."
 
His performance at the Aratani Theatre will feature:
 
Chopin   Andante spianato et grande polonaise brillante, E-flat major, op. 22
 
Chopin   Piano Sonata No. 2, B-flat minor, op. 35
 
Liszt     Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6, D-flat major, S. 244
 
Liszt      Sonata in B minor, S. 178
