The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Los Angeles exhibits "The Price Collection: Heart of Beautiful Japan" featuring the masterpieces of the late Edo period painter Sakai Hoitsu (1761 - 1828) and Suzuki Shuitsu (1823 - 1889), with three Ikebana flower installations by Ikenobo, Ohara-Ryu, and Sogetsu schools respectively.
 
The exhibition includes Sakai Hoitsu's "The Thirty-six immortal Poets with Flowering Plants" in a pair of six-panel folding screens, Hoitsu's "Birds and Flowers of the Twelve Months" in twelve hanging scrolls, and Suzuki Shuitsu's "Fans Floating on River" in a pair of two-panel folding screens.
