Glendale Japanese garden to host slideshow by Japanese garden scholars, Sept. 20

The Shoseian Tea House & Friendship Garden is located in Brand Park, 1601 West Mountain Street, Glendale, CA 91202.
The Friends of Shoseian will be hosting Dr. Kendall Brown, the author of his latest book, "Quiet Beauty: The Japanese Gardens of North America," onSunday, Sept. 20, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Dr. Brown will give a slide show featuring various Japanese gardens in the United States and then the participants will take a tour of the Friendship Garden to learn more about the gem that Glendale has here and how to improve it in the future.
The event is free and Dr. Brown will be offering his book for purchase and a book signing.
