To coincide with the festivities of the Nisei Week Japanese Festival in August, Japan's famous female character actor and dancer Makoto Matsui will make his Los Angeles debut on Sunday, August 9 at the Aratani Theater in Little Tokyo.
Entertainment show "The 75th Nisei Week Special - Matsui Makoto and LA Friends" will be held on Sunday, August 9 at 1:00 pm at the Aratani Theater at Little Tokyo, Los Angeles Downtown. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Tickets are $60, $45, $40, $30. All reserved seats. The tickets will be available for purchase on July 1.
Prior to the show, Makoto Matsui will demonstrate makeup and kimono dressing for female character on Friday, August 7 at 2:00 pm at Los Angeles City College. The program will include male and female dance performed by Makoto Matsui. The program is free and open to the public.
