The Grateful Crane Ensemble's 2014Goodwill Tour to Tohoku and Hiroshima

Lecture, DVD screening and songs from the tour

Shoji Kashiwagi, The Grateful Crane Ensemble

The Grateful Crane Ensemble is a non-profit theater group whose mission is to present educational and theatrical programs in appreciation for the unique hardship and inspiring contributions of Japanese Americans in our country's history.

For many of us, our 2014 goodwill tour to Tohoku and Hiroshima, Japan was deeply moving and life-changing experience. Words alone cannot describe the wonderful people we met, the incredible challenges they face over three years after the tsunami and the unforgettable image we saw. But pictures tell a story, and we would like to share the story of our 2014 goodwill tour with you.

Join us as we talk about our experiences, show our tour DVD and sing some of the nostalgic Japanese and American songs that we shared with the people of Japan. (Soji Kashiwagi)
