A seminar for anyone interested in teaching of Japanese, Feb 14

 

The California Association of Japanese Language Schools (CAJLS) will offer a workshop and seminar to improve and develop teaching skills for teachers of member schools on February 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Southeast Japanese School located in Norwalk.

 

The theme of the seminar is "Curriculum and Lesson Planning Using Backward Design."

 

The Keynote speakers are Dr. Hiroko Kataoka and Dr. Masako Douglas of California State University Long Beach.

 

The presenters will demonstrate effective curriculum design including lesson planning, based on concrete objectives and assessment planning.

 

CAJLS seminar is open to anyone interested in the teaching of Japanese.

 

The cost is $20 for non-members. A bento can be ordered for $10. Deadline for requests is February 1, 2015.
