Greetings!

Most of the great thinkers of our time understand winter as a period of rest. More than the promise of a New Year to come there is a sense that nature is fallow and preparing itself for the energy of Spring. Of course, in our little piece of the Central Coast it's hard to really feel winter amid the sunshine and greenery. I think that we can enjoy the quiet, rest and reflection of winter despite our sunny Santa Barbara days. Enjoy your holidays however you may experience them. Take your rest however it may come. CIO will be waiting for you in the New Year, ready to spring into action providing the support that you are used to, and helping look ahead to new horizons. Happy Holidays!

What's New at CIO: Orange County's HDI Desktop Support Technician of the Year!
On December 9th, 2015, the Orange County Chapter of HDI Desktop Support held their Technician of the Year Award Ceremony in Irvine, California. Each year, many desktop support technicians are nominated and selected for consideration. Among those selected, only one gets to represent their region at the HDI Annual Conference & Expo.

There are five regions that have the opportunity to send a representative to the national conference that is to be held in Orlando, Florida in April 2016 - the Western Region, Midwest Region, Central Region, Northeast Region, and Southeast Region. The Orange County Chapter is one among many that are a part of the Western Region.

Eight nominees were selected for consideration to represent the Orange County Chapter this year.
CIO Solutions had two technicians among the eight nominees selected, BIlly Godfrey and Jordan Rainey.

After careful consideration, CIO's very own, Billy Godfrey, won the opportunity to represent the Orange County Chapter in the competition to be Western Region's Desktop Support Technician of the Year. If you have been lucky enough to talk to Billy on the phone, you know this award is very well-deserved.

Although he still has a ways to go to get to nationals, CIO is very proud and pleased with all the work, effort, and accomplishments that Billy has been able to attain. Join us in wishing him the best of luck in the competition.

CIO is Excited for Star Wars!
The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie was very much anticipated by the team here at CIO. In preparation for the movie, some team members brought in snacks shaped like storm troopers, Darth Vadar, Yoda, and more.

In honor of the premiere this past weekend, the CIO team put together a video explaining what they are most excited to anticipate about the new movie.

Click the following link to see what they had to say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcGnhEB8JQE

*Don't worry, there are NO spoilers. This video was created prior to the premiere.
CIO's Santa Deliveries
Santa came to visit some local clients this year!

Santa visited Peters & Milam Insurance at their office in Santa Barbara!
CIO Solutions' Holiday Party
CIO Solutions and the team had their holiday celebration this year at Carr Winery. It was a great event for all of the staff, who have worked tirelessly this past year, to wind down and enjoy each other's company with delicious food and a live band and performance by our very own talented musicians.
