Easter (Feast of the Resurrection) Greetings

The EAS extends our warmest wishes to our members and to our beloved Egypt for the Feast of the Resurrection.

Sham El-Nessim Picnic Saturday, April 26
When: Saturday, April 26 starting at 12:30 PM.
Where: Vasona Lake County Park Creekside Group Area 333 Blossom Hill Road Los Gatos, CA 95032
Are you ready to say goodbye to the rain and say hello to fun in the California sun? Team EAS is pleased to host the annual Sham El-Nessim Picnic; we will provide samples of:
"Feseekh", "Termis", "Feteer Meshaltet" and middle Eastern desserts.

Activities:
Adults: bring your competitive spirit to our first volleyball tournament (sign up link below). For those less inclined to jump, serve, and spike we will have backgammon game boards available and some fun games and surprises that you will be introduced to upon your arrival.
For kids: there will be an egg hunt and face painting; also the park offers steam train rides, paddle boats and more.
Potluck:
This picnic is potluck (BYOM and BYOSD) BYOM: Bring your own meat (hamburger, hotdogs, chicken, etc.) and bread.
BYOSD: Bring your own side dish. Please bring your trademark side dish to share (enough for twice the number of persons in your party.)

Entertainment: Bring your Bluetooth devices and favorite playlists. We will have the capability to stream your music playlists to keep the party alive. Volunteers: We are always looking for a little help pre-event or day of event. If you'd like to help us out, please contact any one of the EAS team members or write to: [email protected] Food Pre-Order: Many of you buy Egyptian and Middle Eastern foods (e.g., feteer, feseekh, zalabya, ...) from Banou International Food in Pleasanton or from Hanan's Gourmet Middle Eastern Catering. They agreed to deliver pre-ordered foods to the picnic site. Please place your order directly with them: Banou International Food (925-734-9101) or Hanan's Gourmet Middle Eastern Catering (650-558-8940). EAS 2014 Membership Fees Reminder
The EAS is your organization and we urge all of you to engage in our activities. We welcome your suggestions and help in arranging EAS events; we look forward to hearing from you. Also remember that dues paying members enjoy discounts to some EAS events.
As a reminder, the 2014 membership dues are now due: $15 per person or $30 per couple.
