Visit of Sir Magdi Yacoub
Dr. Magdi Yacoub, the world renowned heart surgeon and some of his colleagues from the Aswan Heart Center will be visiting the Bay Area next week. They will meet with the Egyptian American Society (EAS) community and make a presentation about the Aswan Heart Center on Monday, March 11. You are cordially invited to this presentation of such a distinguished guest and to meet the leaders of the Aswan Heart Center.

Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub is professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Imperial College of London. He established heart transplantation in UK becoming the world's leading transplant surgeon. He established and became a master of the "Ross Procedure" or pulmonary autograft. He graduated from the school of Medicine at Cairo University in 1957.
He is a champion of academic medicine and humanitarian surgery. He established the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation that operates the Aswan Heart Center. The Aswan Heart Center treats thousands of patients and performs hundreds of open heart procedures per year.
