  Technology Tips

Tech Tip #1: Back Up Your Computer: Start the school year off on the right foot by backing up your documents. If you want to save your files to a cloud, check out these great free options. You can also use the Windows Backup Function. To use it, click on the Start button, go to the Control Panel, click on 'Backup and Restore', and then click on 'Backup Now'.

Tech Tip #2: Search Within a Specific Site: Did you know you can narrow your search on Google by a type of site or with a specific site? Start your search with "site:", add the website you want to search, and then the terms you want to search for. You can do the same with .org and .edu sites - to search only .edu sites, type "site:.edu" and then your search terms. Find more Google search tips here and information about search engines here.

Tech Tip #3: I Saved Over My File!:  Did you know that you can right click on a Word document file, and there's a "restore previous versions" option in case you save over something. Other Office tips
