  Common Core State Standards

Each Grade Level is full of resources for every individual standard. Students can take control of their own learning by clicking on the page with the standard number, and choosing their own resource to practice that skill!

It's hard to find sites that have math standards examples that follow the specific criteria, but they're here! Click on your Grade Level to find Math Standard Resources and learning tools.

  App Of The Month
Every month we are going to feature a different, and hopefully FREE, iPad/iPod/iPhone educational application. Visit our ever-changing app page. (www.internet4classrooms.com/links_grades_kindergarten_12/apps_web2_tools.htm)

In honor of the new year and new resolutions, we're featuring a Pedometer. This app gives you stats on calories burned, distance, speed, and more. It's the quickest and easiest way to start tracking your movement. Compatible wtih iPhone, iPod, and iPad OS 3.0 or later.
  Things To Celebrate This Month
Happy new year and best wishes from I4C. January kicks off National Thank You Month, writing, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, electricity, and more. You never know what wonderful resources you can find to enrich your classroom experience. Let's get started.

National Thank You Month
Writing letters and thank you notes are a rarity these days, especially with texting, email, and social networks. In our Language Arts section you'll find writing prompts, friendly letter help, elementary writing resources, writing purpose and audience awareness tools, essays, and story writing too. Don't forget about electronic letters either. Emails can unintentionally offset many different tones. Click on #4 for lessons on email writing. Thank someone on paper this month and express your gratitude.

First iPhone Was Introduced (1-9-2007)

Can you believe the iPhone is 6 years old? My, how far we've come from the original flip phones. Remember our apps page when you're downloading educational apps for your children.

Ben Franklin Was Born (1-17-1706)

Dr. Martin Luther King Day (1-21)

Handwriting Day (1-23)

Backwards Day (1-31)
Backwards day is fun when it comes to rearranging clothes and jackets. But it's not so funny when we get our words and letters mixed up. Sharpen those spelling skills with our online spelling practice games.

**             We Want Your Input!            **

I4C already has Free Vocabulary Quizzes and Free Math Quizzes in our ACT/SAT Test Preparation Guide.

We're looking for new ideas for quizzes and informational resources that you'd feel are useful to you and your students. Please email us and let us know what you could use to make your teaching experience better.

Word problems and telling time are often easier to understand if students can visualize the assignment. Play interactive math online and solve the equations for all grade levels.

Capitalization and punctuation can seem like constant teaching reminders when students are writing assignments. Browse our language arts online skills for helpful websites so kids can continue to practice at home.
