Our monthly newsletter focuses on sharing information, tips, and ideas on everything related to schooling inside the classroom and at home. Each month we'll be featuring resources and information on a variety of topics. We are constantly upating information on our site, and urge you to visit often!

Common Core State Standards

Each Grade Level is full of resources for every individual standard. Students can take control of their own learning by clicking on the page with the standard number, and choosing their own resource to practice that skill!

 It's hard to find sites that have math standards examples that follow the specific criteria, but they're here! Click on your Grade Level to find Math Standard Resources and learning tools.

In honor of Daylight Saving, we are featuring World-Clock Time Zones. Select favorites to build an easy access list of cities and their current times. Compatible wtih iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad OS 4.3 or later.

According to the History web site, in the U.S. there are 9.2 million veteran's over the age of 65 and 1.9 million under the age of 35. Show our troops how much you care and recognize their dedication with our Veteran's day lessons, letter activities, and project ideas.

Don't Forget: Free Online Practice for ACT Test and SAT Test Resources.  I4C now offers free SAT and ACT vocabulary and math quizzes. Become a free member and log in as much as you'd like. Students can take practice tests on 5000 vocabulary words.Take daily practice math quizzes on over 1000 questions.  Log in to monitor your students' scores - including seeing which vocabulary words or math questions they missed. Interactive quizzes allow the test taker to retake and study as much as they want.

Homework is increasingly done on computers these days. Have your kids practice their Mouse skills at home with these creative online practice games and quizzes. We also have typing practice exercises as well.

Thanksgiving fun at home: Enjoy everything from poetry and printables to decorations and games. 

Help your kids get over their test-taking nerves with these Assessment Test practice quizzes and methods.

  Technology Tips

Tech Tip #1: Tabs in Excel: Don't forget you can create multiple docs in 1 Excel file by using the sheet tabs at the bottom. Save time and clicking. Right click on the sheet tab to rename it too. Excel tutorials

  

Tech Tip #2: Typing Practice: Alot of assignments have moved to being electronic. This page gives kids practice sites and lessons to help improve their typing skills. It's great for adults too. 

 

Tech Tip #3: ID Any Image!: Did you know you can drag ANY image into the google home page, and it will identify it's source? Just make sure the google homepage is open before you drag your images from other websites. Other tech help

This month's blog:  Being Thankful  Recognizing the good this holiday season.
Internet4classrooms.com is a free educational portal for teachers, parents, homeschoolers and students. Visitors come from around the world to find Internet resources for their educational needs.
