Beltsville's Emmanuel UMC Food Bank

For the past few years, Behnke's has offered free tool sharpening to our customers during the winter. This year we changed it up a bit and asked for donations to Beltsville's Emmanuel United Methodist Church Food Bank, and we are pleased to announce that people were more than generous. We raised $450, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed.

The Emmanuel UMC Food Bank helps local families who are in need of food or clothing in a variety of ways. The ministry provides food to the Community Place Cafe on the 3rd Friday of every month. There are also monthly food distributions that take place on the 4th Saturday of each month from an emergency food pantry for families in need. If you are a local family who needs help, or you would like to find out how you can help through contributions of food, clothing or cash, email them at office@eumcbeltsville.com

Once again, thank you to everyone who came out to support the food bank, and to our staff who provided their tool sharpening expertise, including John Shearin, Orion Taylor, Christopher Lewis, and Bill Mann.
