Fall Color

This past weekend I was reminded of something I take for granted each day. I tend to complain about the hour-long drive I have to and from Behnke's, but when my cousin came out to my house on Saturday, she kept telling me what a beautiful drive it was. And the next day, as I was driving home, she mentioned it again on the phone (hands-free, I promise; phone calls come through the radio somehow). The more she talked about the beautiful Fall colors, the more I looked around as I drove. By this time I was on Rt. 29 crossing the bridge over the Patuxent River and could see the reflections of the leaves on the water. The view was stunning
.

On Tuesday, hearing about big rains and winds heading our way, I felt
sad that the leaves would not be there much longer. Before I know it, the leaves will be gone, the clocks will be turned back (this Sunday, by the way) and it will be dark as I drive home. I will have to make due with my morning drive into work, watching the next season as it arrives... brrrr...
and enjoying the view.
