Take a Stand for NY Libraries!
Help us create a visual message with impact!

Governor Cuomo has not included an increase in state-mandated library funding in his proposed state budget. We need your help in communicating to our legislators the value and importance of the library in our community during these budget negotiations. March 2nd is Library Advocacy Day. Library advocates from all across New York State will converge on Albany to voice their support for funding and policies that benefit libraries.

You can be a library advocate right here in Beacon!  Here's how can you help...

Start by finding out how much the library saves you each year by using the Library Value Calculator. We think you'll be surprised at your savings! Not sure how to use the library calculator? Just ask at the front desk and we'll be happy help you.

Next, between now and February 25, stop by the library and let us take a photo of you sharing your annual library savings.

We'll share your photo on our Facebook page  and in Albany on Advocacy Day....And just like that, you're a Library Advocate! You'll be helping us send a clear visual message to Albany about how valuable the library is to our community. Find out about more ways you can help by visiting the NY Library Association's Advocacy Page
We need your help. Make your voice heard!
