Youth Programs
Scenes from tech-Tuesdays!

Kids are having a blast at our new program tech-Tuesdays.This fun-filled program introduces children to the concepts of coding, robotics, and electrical circuitry. The new mobile lab will be used with Ozobot coding-robots and MIT's Scratch Coding app. Students will tinker and learn with Snap Circuits and littleBits.

Registration for tech-Tuesdays currently full but stay tuned. We will be continuing this program throughout the year.
 
Kids Explore sea+space

2 sessions: Sat., Feb. 13 & 20
from 10:30-11:30am

Elizabeth Castagna and Sophia Jackson of move+play will lead children ages 7-9 through and innovative movement and storytelling program

Session 1, Sea: Take a dip in the sea of imagination and dive into storytelling using pictures, words, and gesture.

Session 2, Space: Travel through ideas of outer space and explore the space all around you and beyond!

The Voices by Melissa Robin
Conflicts/Resolutions:
Poetry Meets Photography
Opening February 13th

Photographers and poets join forces in this group exhibition from the Beacon Photography Group. Local artists were asked to submit either poetry or photography (or both) inspired by the theme of conflict and resolution.
The exhibit will be on view in The Community Room Exhibit Space from February 13th - March 5th, 2016. A Second Saturday artists' reception will he held on February 13th from 5-7 pm.  
Japanese Shakuhachi Flute
Thursday, February 18th 6:30pm    

Join renowned musician, Chris Merwin, as he plays this special ethereal and haunting bamboo flute. Along with playing folk songs, classical pieces and meditation pieces, the program will include the history of the instrument, and a look at the sheet music notation that is exclusive to this instrument. FREE admission. No registration is required.
