New Programs for Kids and Teens
Card Games/Dungeons & Dragons Club Kickoff! Tuesday, 1/22  3-5 pm

Middle and High School students can join us twice a month to get together with others who love to play D & D or various card games from Magic to Yugioh. Just bring your cards and we'll provide the tables and snacks!

tech-Tuesdays Starting in February
6-session STEM fun for children ages 6-9
Tuesdays, 2/9 - 3/8 from 4:15 - 5:15pm

Brienne Cliadakis, Ginny Figlia, and Linda Stevens will provide an intro to the concepts of coding, robotics, and electrical circuitry. The new mobile lab will be used with Ozobot coding-robots and MIT's Scratch Coding app. Students will tinker and learn with Snap Circuits and littleBits. Dash & Dot may even make a guest appearance!

Space and materials are limited so registration is required for this FREE program. Parents/Guardians may sign children up by contacting Ginny at youth@beaconlibrary.org or 845-831-1134, x.103.

We had such an enthusiastic response to our first Adult Coloring session we decided to add 3 more dates! Come see what all the buzz is about.  No registration required. Stop by any time between 6-7:30 to unwind and express yourself. Future session will take place on February 9 and March 15.
Saturday Afternoon Craft Trifecta!
January 23 from 1 - 2:30pm 

Join us to make 3 easy just-for-fun small crafts.
1. Paint a pre-printed, tiny magnetic canvas.
2. Decorate a blank card using washi tape.
3. Make a fun and cheerful floral pen.

This event is free and all materials included.

Be an Agent of Change!

The HPL Board of Trustees is looking for an interim trustee to serve from the February 2nd Board Meeting through June 30, 2016. Trustees are expected to attend monthly Library Board Meetings held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Library. Each trustee should also be prepared to serve on a committee and be able to attend monthly committee meetings as well. Trustees must be US citizens and residents of the Beacon City School District.
