Congratulations, Beacon Bees!
2015 Battle of the Books Champions!

The 11th Annual Battle of the Books Competition took place on Saturday, September 12 at the George Fischer Middle School, in Carmel, NY. 23 libraries from the 5 counties of the Mid-Hudson Library System competed. After seven long hours playing against so many amazing teams, the Beacon Bees took First Place! Dutchess County teams took the top 3 spots; Wappingers Falls took 2nd place and Poughkeepsie 3rd place!

Big thanks to our head Battle of the Book coaches, Tom and Kristen Rigney, and our teen assistant coaches! It was an amazing team effort. Great job everyone! Loads of gratitude to the Friends of the Library for their sponsorship. Much appreciation to our team members' families for their support. Last but not least, thank you Pleasant Ridge for supplying us with our brain food all summer....pizza!
