GREAT EFFORT, GREAT REWARDS

The women in our programs are survivors; their stories are marked with bravery and inspiration. We were struck this fall by one woman in particular, Sintia* (not her real name), who came to our Transitional Living Program (TLP) with three children, a few personal items and a passionate desire for a better life. Thank you once again to ANNA'S TAQUERIA for donating the food we'll be serving at our annual party for the women and children (OK, mostly the children) in our three residential programs..on the magical date of 12/12/12!

Another party thank-you, this one to LORENA HOUSEWORTH, who donates beautifully imagined and executed gift baskets tor our annual staff party, with themes ranging from Automotive to Bed & Bath, Kitchen, Movie Night and more.

For many years, we've had the good fortune to have MAV PARDEE and her friends fill holiday wish lists for the mothers and children in our Teen Parenting Program . If you're wondering why we're thanking them so soon, it's because they're already finished with their holiday shopping and have delivered their bags and boxes to us. Nice work, guys!

Keeping the pantry stocked: many thanks to ALBY MIELE and his crew at MGH for the gift drive of toiletries this fall, the Love Life Now Foundation for sheets and bedding collected during October drives marking DV Awareness Month, and all of you generous friends out there who are running drives at the moment to help ensure the Casa Myrna cupboards are never bare!
