The Rev. John A. Barichivich

Bishop H. Julian Gordy has appointed the Rev. John A. Barichivich as dean of the South Georgia deanery, effective November 1, 2014.  It is one of three deaneries located within the Good N.E.W.S. Conference. Pr. Barichivich serves as pastor of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Warner Robins, GA.

"We welcome Pr. Barichivich as one of our synod's deans. We rely on their good work to extend the office of the bishop in pastoral care and communication. I'm confident that Pr. Barichivich will be a faithful addition to a group of fine pastors," said Bishop Gordy.

Pr. Barichivich replaces the Rev. Dr. Charles Thompson who resigned his position as dean. Said Gordy,  "Pr. Thompson is now spending a good part of the year in his native North Dakota and resigned as dean after serving well in that role. We are grateful for his service, not only as dean but as parish pastor and Assistant to Bishop Gerald Troutman in our predecessor synod."
