Dear Parents and the Community,

Today, an individual, who is not a member of the school community, was seen by two staff members on the campus of Hawthorne Elementary School. The staff members informed the individual that he was trespassing and asked him to leave the grounds immediately. The individual left the grounds without issue and law enforcement was notified and responded at once.

At no time did the trespasser enter the building or interact with any of the students.

At this time, the district has not been informed on the individual nor on any action taken by law enforcement.

The security of our students is of the utmost importance and we are notifying you of this incident in order to make you aware of the situation and the prompt response of both our staff and the police department.
