Dear Parents and the Community,

At the March 16, Board of Education meeting I will be recommending a change to this year's school calendar pending any additional emergency school closings. This calendar change complies with the Mount Pleasant Teacher's Association collective bargaining agreement regarding the number of teaching days in a school year. 
 
As the district calendar includes two days for emergency closings and only one emergency closing has been utilized so far in 2015-16, the remaining emergency closing day will be taken on Friday, April 22. The Spring Teacher Institute, Walk the Green Walk at HES and the early dismissal will be moved to Thursday, April 21, 2016.    
 
2016-17 calendar
The Board of Education approved the 2016-17 school district calendar at its last work session and a copy can be accessed here for your convenience and on the district website under District Information.
