Eleven Chefs Prepare for Certified Master Chef® Exam
Eleven chefs from across the nation are preparing to take the ultimate culinary test--the ACF Certified Master Chef (CMC) exam.The eight-day exam will be held Oct. 26-Nov. 2 at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles, Pasadena, California. The candidates are:

Apply Now for a Continuing Education Grant from Ment'or Foundation
Food, beverage and service professionals with at least three years of work history are eligible to apply for one of more than 30 grants. Grant recipients will be provided with a one-, two- or three-month grant to cover housing, transportation, salary and basic living expenses during their time with a program mentor. Applications must be submitted by Nov. 14.

Cheer for Children Gala: Chef Michael Deihl's Duck Salad, CBS Atlanta's What's on Parker's Plate
ACF Southeast Region Vice President Michael Deihl, CEC, CCA, AAC, appeared in CBS Atlanta's What's on Parker's Plate to promote the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy's annual Cheer for Children Gala on Oct. 17.
Deihl and the ACF Atlanta Chefs Association have been strong supporters of the event for the past seven years, donating their time and talent to make it a flavorful success.
