President's Perspective

Dear Foundation Friends,

I am happy to announce that the Founder's Campaign goal to raise $150,000 by Feb. 28 was successfully achieved!

In fact, the goal was surpassed at $206,000.

Many thanks to the individuals, organizations and businesses that contributed to the campaign and have supported the establishment of the Foundation.

We now look forward to distributing these funds through our Innovative Teaching Grants Program, which benefits hundreds of students and teachers in Pearland ISD.

Be looking for our Surprise Patrol in late May and more to come on the 2nd Annual Grown-up Spelling Bee to be held this Fall.

Grant Spotlight:

Award-Winning Music Projects

During the 2014-15 school year, four grants were awarded to innovative music projects. Foundation grants were used to fund musical instruments, classroom lessons, and special concert performances.

We are proud to support the positive benefits that school music brings to students of all ages.

2015-16 Grant Application Received! We received 69 grant applications, totaling $62,234.22 in funding requests. Our Grant Review Committee now has the arduous task of reviewing all applications and selecting our 2015-16 winners! 2015 winners will be awarded by our Surprise Patrol during the week of May 26 - 29. The Pearland ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt organization. Although it coordinates its efforts with the school district, it operates as an independent charitable organization.
