District, schools place among top in Niche ratings

Pearland ISD ranks as the No. 2 district in the Houston area according to Niche's 2015 ratings. The district is also rated 17th among all 1,000-plus districts in Texas. Eleven campuses also earned top-20 spots in the Houston area. More

AP Scholar awards keep climbing
Pearland ISD boasts the most Advanced Placement Scholar awards ever, with 384 students qualifying for the awards based on high achievement on AP exams. This represents a 15 percent increase from last year. More

Moody to take reins of HRS Department in January
Pearland ISD proudly announces the promotion of Dawson High School principal David Moody to executive director of Human Resource Services, effective Jan. 5. The district anticipates beginning the search for a new principal in February. More

Need a dose of Christmas spirit? Check out the Fine Arts Calendar for campus holiday concerts and other events. Pearland ISD schools and offices will be closed for Christmas and New Year's Dec. 22 - Jan. 2. Staff will return on Monday, Jan. 5, and students on Jan. 6.
